Morning. Woke up to this miserable world yet again. Looked around and the sun was too bright for my eyes. Hand raises up to block the sun. "ah better get up I guess." Slowly got out of bed, feet touch the cold wood floor. Cough, cough. Blood in my hands. As I look at the blood I know its only a matter of time before my shadow takes me. Death follows me wherever I go. I close my eyes and walk out my room, down the hall and make a right into the bathroom. My hand turns on the cold water and I let it fill up all the way. I then stick my head into the water and let the coolness wash over me. Holding my breath I begin to think: {How long has this been going on will I ever find the escape from this pain?} My chest tightens from lack of air. I stay a moment longer, and then finally pull out gasping for air. {What the hell was I thinking?} I look at the mirror above my sink and look at the figure there. Sure enough it is never me. "What are you looking at!" The shadow just looks at me and points. It then goes on to tell me "KILL OR BE KILLED." Right that is the only way I can live....if someone else dies. Sigh. Cough Cough Cough. More blood yet again, all over my mirror now. I raise my hand and wipe my hand down the mirror. This time Two eyes look at me. My own. Red with hate. Lusting for blood of another to regain mine. I then close my eyes and think. {Blood. Must kill again it seems. I will live to kill and I will succeed. None will stand in my way!}
